BiPAP, or Bilevel Positive Airway Pressure, is a form of PAP therapy used for individuals that cannot tolerate CPAP therapy. These individuals may have other respiratory or health conditions that require the use of BiPAP. The primary difference between BiPAP and CPAP therapy is that CPAP therapy uses one fixed air pressure setting to treat sleep apnea. BiPAP therapy requires two pressure settings: one for inhalation and one during exhalation. BiPAP therapy must be prescribed by a doctor. If you think you are in need of BiPAP therapy, please consult your physician.ResMed AirCurve 10 Features The ResMed AirCurve 10 VAuto uses built-in algorithms to ensure patients are always receiving the required air pressure needed throughout the night. If the minimum amount of pressure required changes in the night, the VAuto will automatically adapt.The ResMed AirCurve 10 also assists users if and when necessary by providing a mechanical breath. Should a patient stop breathing for a certain period of time, the VAuto will deliver assistance to help initiate breathing. Once breathing is detected again, the VAuto will resume normal function. TiControlTM is a feature that allows users to adjust the timing of that intervention, should it be required.
