Exactly what is infertility?
Infertility are health problems of the reproductive
system that causes inability of natural conception.
Successful conception depends
on many factors and they are:
* Healthy sperm production
* Healthy eggs from the female
* The ability of the sperm to get through the fallopian tubes
* A sperm's ability to fertilize the egg upon contact
* The egg once fertilized being able to implant in the woman's
uterus
* The quality of the embryo
* The female’s hormone levels
If any of these factors are inadequate
then infertility is hampered.
But what causes infertility?
There is no way to point infertility
to a particular fault of a person, but there are cases of infertility
that result
from:
* The female side
* The Male side
* A combination of both male and female
* Unexplained and unknown causes
How can Infertility be diagnosed?
If after a year of trying to have a baby with out success
a couple is advised to seek medical consultation. Both
genders will be
examined for generalized
health issues and determine any physical disorders which might relate
to
infertility.
The coupled is asked about their
habits as applied to achieving conception to see if they should
do something to help
achieve success with conception.
At this
point, if there are no clear causes, then the following medical tests
may be ordered:
* Semen analysis
* Body temperature
* Analysis of ovulation
* X-ray of the fallopian tubes
* X-ray of the uterus
* Laparoscopy

What is In Vitro Fertilization?
When a female has blocked fallopian tubes
or none at all or where a man has a sperm
count under
normal levels, in vitro fertilization offers
a
way to
have a
biological baby. This is done by the surgical removal
of the female’s eggs
which are placed into a special dish and mixed with the
sperm.
Once the correct amount of time
has passed the eggs are checked to see if they have become embryos
and
if they
have, they are
then placed
into
the
females
uterus where they are them allowed to grow.
